sales account manager

As we continue to grow the business, we’re looking for a highly motivated Sales Account Manager who is equally comfortable on the production floor and around an excel sheet as they are talking seasonality and earning new business.
The ideal candidate will have prior success selling to independent and chain restaurants, hotels, wholesalers, caterers, and/or food distributors in the Greater Boston area and Nationwide. You excel at opening new accounts, overcoming resistance, and creating value with distributor reps. You have built strong long-term relationships, expanded the business with existing customers and are effective at working both out in the field and in an office setting. You are highly motivated, driven by new business acquisition and thrive in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Meets or exceeds pre-established goals for sales dollars and minimum margin targets by item and categories.
Achieves revenue goals, margins, and net profit goals by making face-to-face sales calls within an assigned territory or among existing Wulf’s Fish customers.
Possesses current contacts or existing sales relationships in a territory outside of downtown Boston.
Builds and maintains long-term relationships with customers.
In person customer visits and activations.
Acquires and maintains significant accounts in sales pipeline.
Generates new accounts.
Employs high-level proficiency with networking tools and social media to connect with prospective and current clients.
Works with the VP of Sales/Head of Business Development to manage price lists and pricing updates.
Works with fellow Sales Account Managers on account responsibilities and information in addition to Customer Support staff.
Maintains comprehensive account information and updates account profiles as needed.
Support A/R with reach out as needed.
Demonstrates professionalism and leadership through independent actions and supporting team members & shared goals.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required.

Requires 3 – 5 years of experience in direct F&B sales.
Requires an individual with strong negotiation and organizational skills, and excellent customer relations skills.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
Strong computer skills (specifically Microsoft 365, Netsuite) and an ability to learn new systems and platforms rapidly.
Must have broad-based experience selling seafood and or food products.
Knowledge of fisheries of the Pacific, Gulf, Atlantic, and various countries producing premium fish is a plus.
Working knowledge of quality control, production, yields and costs.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle constant interruption from telephone and staff, and remain flexible to meet changing priorities daily.
Prior history working in restaurants appreciated.
Experience working with regional and/or national accounts preferred.
BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent experience appreciated.

This is an in-office position at our facility in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston, MA. Job requirements may necessitate trips to the production floor, offsite customer visits and, depending on account makeup, regional and national travel.
This is a salaried position with the expectation of a 45-hour work week including a rotating abbreviated Saturday shift roughly once every six weeks.
This role requires intermittent business travel at the discretion of the VP of Sales.
Requires a valid US driver's license and adequate transportation.

sales support associate

The Sales Support team builds client satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring every order we process is handled properly. By overseeing order fulfillment, communicating with our clients, and liaising between departments, the Sales Support Associate acts as the public face of Wulf’s Fish, building client confidence through elevated service. They will act as an administrator, quality control inspector, sales support professional, customer service agent and dispatch. The ideal associate will have strong communication skills, a genuine passion for building product knowledge, and a respect for the hundreds of chefs who are proud to serve our fish to their patrons daily.
Key Responsibilities
Transcribe orders from clients and build prep lists for our production team.
Work with our Logistics department to ensure efficient order fulfillment and delivery.
Communicate product availability with customers and between departments.
Touch the fish! Keep an eye on incoming product and learn from your peers about what makes seafood high quality in order to pass this knowledge on to your clients.
Chat with customers about their needs and work within our systems to get them the product they want.

Must be organized, team oriented, and accountable.
Must be proficient in Office 365.
Previous knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Netsuite, Parity, Missive, and other platforms.
Must have a sense of humor.
Some Spanish a big plus.

This is a full-time, salaried position with the expectation of an in-person work week.
The seafood game starts early and a prompt 6 am start is expected.
This is an office position but frequently requires trips out to a refrigerated and wet production area.

Marketing Coordinator

The marketing coordinator will support the head of marketing and get to work on a broad range of marketing and communications initiatives across the wholesale and direct to consumer divisions of the company, from websites and social media to print materials and events.
The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. They will bring their creativity every day to help build the Wulf’s Fish brand in Boston and beyond.
Writing and Editing — Projects could include: writing product descriptions and sales materials, interviewing team members for reported pieces, promotional copy for the website and digital ad campaigns, proofreading copy for content and style, and creative briefs for design projects.
Project coordination — Work with other members of the team and external agencies to pull together the information and design elements needed for content development, advertising, events and more. Participate in brainstorms for the next great content series or promotion.
Social media management — Create and post content for Instagram and Facebook accounts. Engage with Wulf’s audiences on social media.
Email marketing — Assist with production of the twice weekly newsletter and occasional promotions for home cooks as well as regular product features for wholesale customers.
Print and digital creative — Basic design for print materials and digital assets.
Website maintenance — Work with the head of marketing and sales team to continuously edit and update the website to keep it correct and relevant with fresh copy and photos, as needed.
Marketing administration — Tasks could include ordering supplies, coordinating print runs, organizing shared drives, mailing list maintenance, researching partners and media lists, etc.

Knowledge of food and a passion for the subject is essential. No prior seafood knowledge is required, but you must be eager to immerse yourself in the topic. It’s infinitely varied and detailed.
Strong storytelling skills — someone who knows how to find the interesting angle in any topic and can jump in to generate creatives for various applications.
Strong writing and editorial skills — ability to work within a style guide and keep a close watch on the details both in copy and visuals.
Must be a self-motivated problem-solver. This is a fast-paced startup environment.
Proficiency with Shopify, Squarespace, and Klaviyo, or a willingness to learn the platforms and their apps, required.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite and/or Canva and the ability to do basic photo and document editing desired. More advanced graphics or video editing would be a plus.
A minimum of two years of experience in a marketing communications role is required. Food industry experience is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Driver (Full Time Boston-based & Part time northampton-based)

Wulf’s Fish is looking for friendly and hardworking individuals to join our Seafood Delivery Team. The daily routine typically includes but is not limited to: handling product, delivering to our restaurant customers throughout Massachusetts, and dropping ground and air freight.

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record (No CDL required)
Comfortable driving delivery vans, experience driving box trucks a plus
Accountable and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
Strong attention to detail and an ability to retain new information
Must be able to work on your feet and lift 50 lbs
